Liam
there are many stellar Shakedowns (IMO)
Check out these 3 from 1981, especially 7-14, the slowest funkiest version I know of.

Yes- there are up to a dozen stellar Shakedowns- but what I am saying- and I address this to my friend who said it depends on how I define my terms-

What I am saying is there are no Shakedowns I can point to that poked a hole in the heaven's- that swirled in the cosmos as primordial sound waves- that redefined me- these things have happened with Dark Star, The Other One, Scarlet-Fire, China-Rider, Playin, and Birdsong.

Maybe SHakedown is too much of this world in the way it was composed and written. There are many very good shakedowns- but I am waiting to here one that take me out on a spaceship and abducts my mind....

Yep, I get what you mean...but Shake is tough for that b/c it feels more like a funk, dance tune than a transporting, spiritual, spacey kind of tune that can really dazzle the mind &soul.

Shake can dazzle, but in an entirely different kind of way.
